This evaluation often requires more extensive testing and record review than our typical streamlined approach to assessing ADHD in order to fulfill requirements for exams such as the SAT, MCAT, Bar exam, etc..
We use intelligence and academic achievement tests to assess for intellectual disability and specific learning disorders in reading, mathematics, and written expression. The purpose is to clarify diagnosis and provide strategies and a treatment plan to compensate for learning weaknesses.

We also provide psychological testing for chronic pain, including evaluations required for elective procedure, such as spinal cord stimulators.

Our evaluations standardly include an hour long clinical interview to discuss your concerns, symptoms, and relevant history, several hours of one to one testing (note that the length of testing depends on what type of evaluation you are pursuing), and a feedback session to discuss the test results and recommendations with the doctor. When applicable, the doctor will request records to review, teacher rating forms, and collateral report of information from parents and/or significant others. You will also receive a written report of your results within a few weeks of completing your follow-up appointment.
The purpose of the evaluation is to provide diagnostic clarity and generate specific treatment recommendations and strategies to help address these issues. In other words, we identify to problem(s), diagnose them, and lead you to the best treatment options available. Our neuropsychologists work collaboratively with treatment providers including psychiatric (medication prescribing) providers and psychological counselors/therapists. We accept referrals from inside the practice, self-referrals, and external referrals. We also consult with pediatricians, family physicians and primary care physicians in the community as needed.
